A safe and welcoming

At Seedlings, we believe that children's emotional and social health are important, and that a safe and balanced approach to child care will help us all thrive.

Children over 2 are encouraged to wear their mask during indoor time as per NJ licensing.

Masks are required for staff at all times both in the classroom and outside on our playgrounds.

All parents are asked to wear masks at drop off and pick-up.

Smaller Groups

To limit exposure within our school, we have reduced the number of children in each classroom. Groups are no longer able to co-mingle throughout the day, we do not combine classes, share play spaces or bathrooms and there is little to no crossover of staff or students.

Our center is professionally cleaned nightly by a third party cleaning service. Our staff also wipes down high touch surfaces throughout the day.

Children are assigned their own materials whenever possible. Once a toy in the classroom has been used, it is removed and sanitized before it is returned to the rotation. All shared materials and playground equipment are also cleaned and sanitized as soon as children are finished using them throughout the day.

Entry into the Facility

To enter the center, children must be free from COVID-19 symptoms. Upon drop-off and prior
to entry into the facility, parent/guardians will take their child’s temperature and it will be
recorded by staff. Screening questions must also be answered in Brightwheel.
If during the day any child develops the following symptoms, the child will be isolated and the
parent/guardian will be contacted. Children MUST be pick-ed up within 30 minutes of being

Notification and Closure

If a staff member or student tests positive for COVID-19, Seedlings will notify all families.

If 2 or more staff members or students in different classes test positive for COVID-19, all families will be notified and Seedlings will close for 48 hours to conduct deep cleaning and sanitizing. The classes who may have been exposed to those staff members or students will be quarantined for 14 days from the onset of symptoms.

Families are responsible for notifying Seedlings if they become aware of any person with whom their child or anyone in the household have had contact with or exhibits any of the symptoms listed in above, is advised to self-isolate, quarantine, or has tested positive, or is presumed positive for COVID-19. This may result in a child’s exclusion from the center.

Tuition Policy

Seedlings will not refund or prorate tuition for children who are excluded from the center due to voluntary or mandatory quarantine, vacations, or a short-term facility closure (2 days or less).

If the facility is closed for more than 48 hours due to a positive Covid-19 test result, Seedlings will issue a partial credit of 40% of tuition amount for the number of school days missed over 2. For example, if Seedlings is closed for 10 school days and your child attends 5 days per week, your account will be credited 40% of the tuition amount for an
8-day period.
